"We Turned a Filtration Challenge into a Scalable, High Performance Solution"

A client approached us with a unique problem:  they needed  to recover a value added component from their process stream.  The goal was to isolate this product without compromising purity, yield, or efficiency.  They weren’t sure if it was even possible.

After our initial consultation, we recommended a membrane feasibility study to evaluate whether cross flow membrane filtration could selectively reject eh right components while maintaining adequate flux and membrane integrity.  We conducted multiple membrane trials in our lab.

Over the course of a dozen filtration tests each measuring rejection rate, permeate quality, and operating pressures we narrowed in on a membrane with excellent rejection, chemical compatibility, and scalability.  Once our client approved the membrane selection, we transitioned to a 4″ spiral wound pilot study, simulating process conditions and validating performance under real world flows.

Using the data from our pilot trials, we designed a custom skid mounted membrane system tailored to their process requirements including flow rate, temperature, and cleaning protocols.  We also guided them through vendor selection for fabrication of the skid and associated auxiliaries like pumps, CIP loop, and instrumentation.

“We knew exactly what we wanted to achieve and we chose Kandas to lead the project because she’s delivered for us before.  Once again, she exceeded expectatons.  From concept to comissioning, every detail was handled with precision.  We couldn’t be happier with the results.””
